Marketing on a Shoestring Budget
One of the biggest challenges in business is marketing your business. What to do? How to do it? The cost of it. Measuring the return on investment.
There are however, some really great cost-effective ways to market your business for very little financial cost. They do require some time though, but well worth it.
If you haven’t tried these ideas yet, maybe it’s time:
Identify trade publications, relevant consumer magazines and media outlets that would benefit their audience from knowing your product and services are available. Write a press release, and distribute it.
Create strategic alliances, where you add value to another company’s client base and in return they promote your business, introducing you to a new market.
Present yourself as an expert in your field, and provide valuable information to educate people, by writing articles and distributing those for publication.
Build your database of clients and potential clients, and market to them with a newsletter (hard copy or email based.) Provide information that is of value to people that is worth reading, and always include a promotion selling your product and services.
Create reciprocal links between websites, where you help promote other businesses, and in turn, they help to promote you. This will build more opportunities to generate web traffic to your site.
Customer Love strategy: Send a handwritten card with an introduction to your company. A card and coloured envelope stands out from the regular mail. Guaranteed to be opened and more likely to be read, unlike other mass mail outs which generally end up in the bin. Purchase one style of card from Customer Love to implement this strategy so you have another 19 images for other occasions.
